Tom Mackewn. Author & Illustrator

Tom Mackewn won the Lindfield Arts Festival Bursary in 2018 and embarked on his own adventure to become a children’s author and illustrator. Following a career in sound for children’s animation, Tom now spends his days behind a very messy desk, inventing characters and making up worlds for them to live in.

Tom lives with his wife, two sons and cat in Sussex and exploits them all shamelessly for their ideas. The cat, it’s fair to say, considers picture books a bit beneath her, and steadfastly refuses to comment.
